No, insurance is provided as part of the package and is fully comprehensive.

You must be between the ages of 25 and 70 in order to comply with the available insurance policy.

You are only required to hold a Full UK driving license.
Back to top - Do we get roadside assistance if we breakdown?
Yes, in the unlikely event that the horsebox breaks down, we have arranged Equine Rescue and 24-hour breakdown cover this is covered as part of the insurance policy provided.
Back to top - Can another person drive the vehicle other than the named driver?
The only person who is covered by the insurance policy is the named driver, whose driving license we have received a copy of. We can, however, contact the insurance company to look into the possibility of insuring another driver, but this will be down to the discretion of the insurance company and may incur further charges.
Back to top - Does my horse/pony have to be insured?
No its your personal choice whether your horse/pony is insured. Our insurance does not cover your horse/pony or any other animals in the horsebox.
Back to top - How economical to run is the horsebox?
Our horsebox is a Vauxhall Movano conversion and being diesel we think its very economical, it does approximately 30 miles to the gallon.
Back to top - Does the horsebox comply with the current Low Emission Zone regulations by Transport for London?
Yes our vehicle is not subject to the Low Emission Zone and not required to meet the Low Emission Standards at this time.
Back to top - Do we need to put fuel into the horsebox?
We will provide you with the first full tank of diesel and then it is up to you to refill it. We also ask that you return the box with a full tank of diesel and that you never allow the fuel tank to be less than a quarter full, as this can lead to mechanical fault.
Back to top - Are there any specific times for collecting and returning the horsebox?
The horsebox is hired up to a 12 hour period or longer if pre-arranged. Collection times are 7.00am earliest to latest 7.00pm the same day. However, we do try to be as flexible as possible to meet your needs.
Back to top - Do we need to clean the horsebox before we return it? That is up to you! We ask that you clean the horsebox, that it be returned to the same level of cleanliness in which you received it. If you would prefer not to clean it and would like us to do it then we charge £50 for that service.
